Pattern System

R BOOK is a design project centered on the construction of the letterform R, inspired by the structure and gesture of a ribbon bow. Beginning with the development of a single R form, the project expands into a system of super-units — complex compositions generated through the repetition, rotation, and layering of multiple R elements.

From these super-units, an extensive pattern system is developed, exploring rhythm, symmetry, and modular organization. The evolving patterns demonstrate how a single letterform can generate a flexible visual language. Supporting imagery related to the R form and the super-unit structures further reinforces the conceptual and visual coherence of the system.
